I'm running Win-98 and when I open a window and change the
display (for example from icons to details) and change the
window size and location and then close the window, the settings are lost. When I open it again, back to the
original settings.
How can I "save" my settings?
I've tried checking & unchecking the box to remember
settings, but it makes no difference at all.

you can try this: open explorer and set the view how you like it, then click on TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW(tab) and then there is a button labled "like current folder" you can click to set all folder views to the same as the current folder you are viewing. Also look at the options in the "Advanced Settings" window while you have the Folder Options window opened.

I've tried the "like current folder" option and
also, "remember each folder's view settings"
& nothing changes...always goes back to original
setting.
I've tried changing the folder options, and they won't
change either...VERY strange.
All of these things worked with my Win95 :)
I'll take a look at the Tweak downloads.
Thanks
