I hv a brand new Sun Fire X2100. It is supposed to serve as the client for another Sun server, T2000.

The X2100 does not hv any hard disk or CDROM drive on it. I hv no idea how to start setting up the X2100 as the client/display for the server.

Anyone can give me a clue on where and how I start to setup the X2100 as the display/client?

Thank you...

A very expensive console (which the T2000 shouldn't need)? Why no disks?

I want to be good, is that not enough?

Why the expensive console and no disk?

No idea. I was just given the task to set it up.
Any suggestion how I could even start to work on it?

Thanks...

I've seen things like this long time ago with a Point of Sale system I setup. Think you have to configure it over a serial connection with your laptop first. Found this .pdf that might help you out. Let me know how this turns out. Do you have Sun support? Hope this helps you. Good luck!
