How to set up remote COT trunk testing 2

I am told there is a way to set up remote COT trunk testing. How do I do this.

Finally found it in the book.
After loging in to system and LD 36, type in Call and TN. I call my cell phone and when I answer I get a loud tone.
They are complaining of a clicking noise (intermittent-trying to find which trunk it is)and it is hard to hear over the tone. I thought it would be just like testing a trunk on site through the maint set. I do not hear the tone then. I have 16 trunks and the tone is on all of them. Is there a way to have that tone stop when using the call command?

LD 36

CALL l s c u This command sets up a monitor link (call) between the
system and the test center on the trunk specified.
The system prompts "DN?" for the directory number.
When the PTRS directory number is entered, the system
calls up that number automatically. When the call is
answered, a pure tone indicates the validity of the link.
This sequence can take up to 14 seconds on a trunk
without answer supervision. The END command
disconnects the call.
The CALL l s c u command is not allowed when the
diagnostic program is being run from a maintenance
telephone. During the CALL command, On-Hook and
Off-Hook signals from the maintenance telephone may
initiate BUG105.
When the monitor is enabled, a failed trunk is displayed as
BUSY. The enable/disable command does not enable or
disable the failed trunk unit (it stays in the BUSY state).

I have used this feature before and don't get the tone you are speaking of.

The clicking may not be a trunk problem at all.

What kind of system is this? Option 11, or Large system. If they are hearing clicking, you may have bad fiber links between the cabinets. Look back a couple of pages and you will see a similar problem on an Option 11C.

It is a 3 cabinet Option -11 with a PRI TIE circuit to the main Option-81 down the street (the voice mail is at the 81 site)
All out bound call go over the TIE and out to various Long Distance carriers (depending on the agency) or to a COT route for local and 800 calls. The complaint is only on local calls. That is why I wanted to check the COTs for clicking/noise/ground hums etc.

The remote call testing in LD 36 will only work for analog trunks.
You set it up by using the CALL command like you did.
When you answer the call and hear the tone then you are ready to test individual trunk TNs by entering
TRK xxx xx xx xx (trunk TN)
You will then get dialtone from the trunk (if it's working and can enter a phone number to set up a call between your test phone and the dialed number.
Don't think you will have much luck if you are trying to test PRI's though.
