Here is my system:

Partner ACS R7.0 w/Int Backup
Partner Mail (4 line)
Expansion 2x6 - 5 Slot Cabinet - ETR 18D Phones
I have 5 lines coming to the building. Three of these lines are for one business and the other two are for another business.

Issue 1
A while back I was told I could set up one Automated Attendant to handle two of the lines and a second Automated Attendant to handle the others. I can't find any literature on how to do that.

Issue 2
I have an employee that works off site. So I've set up an extension for them expecting all calls going to that extension would forward to their phone off site.

#322 is set to assigned. I'm not seeing where I can input the remote phone number. Naturally when I try the extension it goes to voicemail.

I would greatly appreciate any help!

Thanks

As far as the multiple auto attendants - Partner Mail (the box on the wall) requires that you log into the System Administrator's mailbox, go into the programming menu, and then System Parameters. From there you will find an option for "Single or Multiple Automated Attendants". Set it to multiple, and when you go to Auto Attendants, you will be prompted to enter the Auto Attendant Number (1-3). If you DON'T get the prompt for Single or Multiple AA's, your Partner Mail is too old of a release.

If you get the Multiple AA's turned on, in AA2 and AA3 you will find an option for Line Assignment. Assign your lines here. Deleting a line from Auto Attendant 2 or 3 will reassign it to AA 1.

And for the RCF, put the remote number in one of the extension's Personal Speed Dials (80-99), and forward the extension to the Speed Dial bin.

Thanks for the help on the call forwarding. How would you ever know it had to be set on extension 10.

As far as the multiple attendants go. I don't get a prompt for multiple attandants.

I have partner Mail VS Rev 4.2. You think that's too old?

Nope, you didn't state it was Partner Mail VS or the release. You are stuck with 1 auto attendant.

The 2nd business' lines can be answered by a single mailbox, however.

You can use Direct Extension Dial for the second business, you have 20 seconds to give a short message, callers would hear the short 20 message and then be prompted to dial extension xx for Acme widgets, etc.

A nice addition to a nice system. An inexpensive way to add a second quasi AA.
