The ATA needs power, after you have dialtone call an internal ext, and in the display you'll see your DN #.

Check prime line for dn, could be set to none.

Intercom, then dial 9 to get outside line.

First off do you want Intercom dial tone or outside dial tone?
Inside dial tone make sure you have the ATA hooked up to a digital port, power is plugged in and at least 1 (recommend 2) intercom button is assigned.
For out side dial tone make sure your lines are in a pool.
Allow the DN of the ATA to have access to that pool, tell Prime line to be the pool and go into capabilities/hotline/external/ and just put in a Pause (Feature 78).
