An admin assistant wants her boss’s phone to ring on her phone.
Both phones are analog.
I am not sure if I can set up bridged call appearance on two analog phones.
Is it possible to set up a second line on the admin assistance phone and have her boss’s phone to ring on this second line? How?

The system is G3si V8.2

Thank you in advance.

U have a boss that only has a analog phone???!! I have never heard of that before. Everyone else has digital phones. But anyway, just wire the phones together like U would a home analog phone.

Dear orypecos,

Please correct me if I am wrong:
If I make a home-analog-phone-type connection, the assistant will have the same extension as her boss has. Is that right or I am missing something?

But she needs to answer her boss’s phone while having her own extension on the same phone; it is like setting up bridged call appearance on digital phones.

For now I set up a coverage path as jordy5535 suggested.
It works fine and users are satisfied.

To bridge an analog set you need abrdg-appr instead of brdg-appr, but I do not know if that is only for bridging an analog set to a digital set, or if it will allow analog phone to bridge to another analog phone..

You can also put the 2 extensions in a pickup group and she can #6 (or whatever) your call pickup access codes are.

The short answer here is you cannot setup multiple lines on a traditional analog telephone / station.

If she wants to have 1 appearance for herself and one for him, they'll either need to purchase two line analog phones and wire them up as previously mentioned, or purchase a couple of digital sets and use bridged appearances.
