Hello All,

I have a call manager 4.x and I have a few phones with shared lines and their own personal numbers. I was wondering how to set up the phones to have a certain number showing at the end phone.

Such as phone A has 555 but I want to call phone B but I want the caller ID at phone B to read 777 instead of 555 as a number. I hope that made sense. I only want to set this up for 5 phones. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When you build the individual phones, when setting up the extension, you can set up labels and what is sent out there. Specifically Display (internal caller ID)

Thanks TRVlr1! I have tried that..but once we call the a phone for a test, it still shows my number in parenthesis.

Do you think there is another step? I want the other people to see another number when I call.

It is possible and the solution is described on this thread:

This entry would have to go in the phone that is calling, not the phone that is called to make it work.

trvlr that won't work. The internal caller ID if it is populated will show that info in addition to the extansion number in parenthesis. so if you populate that entry to say "trvlr" it will show as trvlr (XXXX) on the other end. It does not hide the DN only adds to it. Try it.

Looks like you are right Whykap, it did not show on my screen until I shortened the test name I was using .....
