How to Set this backup plan ?

I am completely new to Veritas stuff and please
do help me in setting up this plan in
VERITAS backup exec 9.0 for windows 2000 server.


1) It has to do my backup daily night at 10:00PM

2) I will just put the tape daily before leaving the
office.


3) It has to do all the complete backup.


4) It should check the space in TAPE if its enough
for the backup , it it finds enough space it should
append to that TAPE

or

If it doesnt find enough space on the tape ,it should
basically erase the entire tape and reuse it.


5) It should basically not ask me anythings like
a) please insert scratch or blank media
b) Do you want to overwrite it ?
c) cannot write backup piece into the same backup media
set ??


I am not sure but it gives me all kinds of these errors
and alerts while doing the backup ?


So how can i overcomethis, just has to do backup on the tape,append to it ,if not erase it automatically and do the
backup on to the tape ?

I cannot wait and answer to these alerts, every day .

Well schedule a job to run the said backup. If you using direct attached tape drive,its easy.

maybe you have to read the JOB Definition of Veritas. It will help you a lot.
