Hi everyone,
This seems to be a tough one. I have acquired an old database from a user group of mine and they have many many(hundreds). I am trying to consolidate some of these reports because many of them are identical except for the groupings.
I have managed to create a reporting tool that can change the fields in the report on the fly and suppress some of the group sections, but i haven't had much luck trying to set the field i want in my groups.
I have created a function for each Header/footer section and try to set the function to the field i want. Doesn't seem to work.

any suggestions would be great!!

Roy,

Thanks so much! All i needed was the syntax of groupLevel
Everything seems to work now. I use tables to keep track of all of my different grouping options, open the report in design view and edit it on the fly.

This syntax seemed to work.
Reports!rptSummarySaics.GroupLevel(0).ControlSource = rst.Fields(indx).Value

You saved me a lot more headworks!!
