I was wondering how do you set the MTU settings for the ethernet card on Windows 2003 Server? Is it a matter of just adding it to the registry?
Thanks!

I've never had to manually set the MTU on the card. I just leave it at whatever the default is and make any necessary changes (usually to allow for VPN overhead) on the router. Maybe you have some reason for wanting to do it that's over my head, though.. You may be able to set it through the device manager, depending on the card/driver.

in the registry add the setting under hkey_local_machine\system\controlset001\services\tcpip\paramaters\interfaces\(select they adaptor you wish to change) add the dword MTU and under decimal set the mtu paramater you wish to use.

Hope this helps
