Hi Guys,

My Company has running Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5. I want to set auto reply of email messages those are coming for my company job. Please help me out.

Regd,
Ajay

I think what your are getting at is that you want to send an automated reply to people who send to a specific address at your site?

What you will need to do, asuming you are using Outlook as your client it to create the profile and just set-up the "Out of Office" to send your reply.

If this isn't what you want, then give us some more details and we'll see what we can do for you.

Cheers

Hello lwalters,
Thanks for your mail.I do not want out of office reply.
My concern is auto reply to sender with his Name.

Ajay

I do not seem to have the auot reply feature in my tools. I am running MS Office 2000 home edition. My system at work has the out of office function but I cannot find it nor figure out how to turn in on, in my home outlook. Can you help.

It's an exchange thing not an outlook thing. You would need to keep outlook running all the time at home for it to reply wouldn't you.

No, the auto replies work even when you are not running Outlook the config is stored in your mailbox on the server. The Exchange server must be set up to allow auto replies to the internet if you need to do so, if not it will auto reply to internal email.

Sorry I was responding to Thom/tamato's post regarding Out of Office replies from his machine at home. Does your outlook at home actually connect to an exchange server ?

Hey bhawani123 - not sure if this is still an issue for you but...
We use Outlook/exchange5.5 to manage our application submissions for HR. Our Web guys setup links from the jobs page that autopopulate the subject field w/corresponding job codes. Then we setup outlook routing rules, so a submission with code (900) routes to the public folder 'sales manager (900)' - then give 'reviewer' access to Director of Sales to view those specific submissions. The downside of this is you use your Exchange server as a file server... Anyway, we also have html (configured as an html signature) autoreply messages setup to respond (time delayed for 15 minutes) to all submissions - which is done with outlook rules (and then stored on ex.5.5 so outlook does not have to be open and running all the time). In outlook rule wizard choose 'check messages when they arrive', 'sent to (your email addy)', 'have server reply using a specific message', (create your message, or insert your html signature - and from the new window properties you can choose time delay).
