Hi all,

I'm new on the Sopho and have a question:

I have to separate the internal from the external calls toward an extension.
I want to divert the internal calls to another extension and want to answer the external calls by myself.

How do i configure this?

Thanks in advance.

Nick

Hi Nick,
I dont know, which software package is running on your system.
There more possibilities to to what you want.
First, the easy way
CHCALF:0,<your DNR>,<target DNR>,,5,1;

o means, call forwarding type: no answer
5 means, your extension is 5 seconds ringing, then the call
will be call forwarding
1 means, only for internal calls.

If you never want wait 5 seconds (it is the minimum )you must make a
CHCALF:0,<your DNR>,<target DNR>;
Then all calls forwarding.
For external calls, I would make a second DNR on my port, and a digit conversion on incomming trunk.

Try it, and tell me what the result is.

Regards
Werner

Hi guys,

@Werner

Can you please give some more details on what you mean with "For external calls, I would make a second DNR on my port, and a digit conversion on incomming trunk."

Thanks!

SeZam

Hi Werner,

Thank you for your reply.
Can you explain what you mean by: "For external calls, I would make a second DNR on my port, and a digit conversion on incomming trunk." I'm just not that inaugurated in Sopho to understand.

Thanks again,
Nick

Hi Nick and SeZam,

For example, your DNR is 200 on 11,3,2

for Follow me internal calls to DNR 250
ASFACM:7,200; FCM
CHFLME:0,200,250;

to display
DIFLME:200;

to erase
CHFLME:0,200;

for external calls

Then second DNR ( neded for external calls must be in valid DNR-range in the system, and allowed in incomming tree for route 10) 300
CHDNRC:300,11,3,2; System is giving a warning, it is ok

you must know, which route is for the incoming traffic, example 10
ASDGCV:10,200,300;

to display
DIROUT:10;

to erase this
ERDGCV:10, it will erase all convertiones

it means, for route 10 the incomming DNR digits 200 will be converted to 300.

The 300 is the second DNR of the port, and the set will be ringing.

For your outgoing calls from the set the system uses allways the first DNR for CLIP, it is the 200. So all you are calling from this set see 200, in the system and outsite.

I hope, you have understand my description.
Try it, and you will see, it works.

If not, we must look to the boundaries

Hi guys,

Werner: Thank you for your explanation.

Creating a new DNR is needless, because i have to do it at an already existing extension. I have to split the internal and external calls towards just one number.

I guess i have a problem ...?!

Nick.

Hi Nick,
your problem is not the second Number!!, I think, you have not realy understand, what I had wrote ( I am a German, and my english is not the best )

You wrote in first step:
I have to separate the internal from the external calls toward an extension.

If you call from internal 200, the call will forwardet to another extension, like you want.
If a call comes from external to 200, it will be ringing on your set! It is not interesting, which number is ringing on your set, how I finish the problem, the result is important

If you call from your set, you are allways 200!.

Where is the problem?

Hi guys,

I see that you're a man with skills Werner :) and I would have a lot of questions for you but I wouldn't like to hijack Nick's thread (my apologies to you Nick) so I'll start a new thread and ask some questions.
It's an iS3000 SSW 810 but since I'm quite new to this matter I need some more time in order to collect the information relevant for my questions.

I hope Werner that you don't mind my way of announcing the coming questions!

Thanks in advance!

SeZam

Hi Werner,

With all respect:
"It is not interesting, which number is ringing on your set, ..." is the whole point! This is not only interesting, it is important because callers are dialing it.
Internal callers are dialing 200 and so do external callers. And that is what i have to separate.

Man, I really appreciate all your efforts.

Hi SeZam,

No need to apologize. We all have to learn from the teachers, and from one another. So, be my guest ...

Nick.

Hi Nick,
you are right,
it is important because callers are dialing it.

So is it,the internal calls 200 and you separate this call by forwarding to another DNR.

The external also is calling 200 !! and your set will be ringing on the port whith 200 and a 2nd DNR.

If you calling to internal or to external, you are the 200.

If this version not the right for you, then only the first with CALF is possible.

I all systems many problems only solvable to go indirection.

to SeZam: If I can help, ask!

I wish you all a nice weekend

Werner
