I have an IPO 500 V2 R 9.1, I have a queued HG group. Have it set up with the ability for the caller to press 1 and go to mailbox during second queued message. I would also like to be able to have the caller transferred directly to the mailbox when all agents are logged out and I cannot seem to get a handle on how to accomplish this and am looking for info on how to do this. Thank you

Voicemail Pro or embedded?

If no agents are logged in you can use the overflow group option to transfer the call to VM.

To have a menu option to be transferred to VM you need to add a menu to the queued start point in VMPro.

If embedded (Quick n dirty solution):
Create a fake user with unconditional fwd to a short code going directly to the mailbox (read the help).
Put the user in their own group, sequential mode, and set the orignal group to overflow to this new one, and directly if no active agents.

This also works with VMP, and is probably the quickest - not the prettiest - way to solve the problem. :)

E Soderholm,

Aut inveniam viam aut faciam.

got to the group
select the Overflow tab
Press F1

Thank you all, I forgot to mention that it is a VM Pro. IP Guru......thanks for the tip, I was able to find exactly what I was looking for with immediate overflow, now all I have to do is test it to make sure it works with a queued group.

I just looked at manager and I understand that I can overflow immediately if no agents are logged in to my group ( 1348 in this case) and send them to another group, but I want to have the caller go to the mailbox for group 1348 not another groups mailbox. The first statement of overflow says:

"Overflow can be used to expand the list of group members who can be used to answer a call. This is done by defining an overflow group or groups. The call is still targeted to the original group and subject to that group's settings, but is now presented to available members in the overflow groups in addition to its own available members."

When they say that the call is still targeted to the original group, does that mean it will go to the original groups mailbox, in this case HG 1348? Thanks again.

VM always gose to the mailbox of the original destination so I dont see any problem.

Thanks IPGuru...if no one has told you today, let me be the first....YOU ARE THE MAN!! Thanks again.

integrant....I took your suggestion and did just that, gave him a star. I did say thank you and complimented him in a way I felt acceptable, but thank you for a lesson in forum etiquette, I was not aware of the meaning of a star. Now I know.[thumbsup2]

Some Guyes here are verry competiive of there ranking based on the Star count

I spent some time at the top & have now grown out of that, but the thanks they signify do still get apreciated ( & keep me posting)
