Hi,
I am using Office XP and I would like to send out HTML emails.

I cannot get Outlook to acknowledge the html formatting.
It keeps escaping my <, > symbols as < >.

Please help.

I would Idealy be able to make a HTML page in notepad and then just put in in Outlook and email it out.

Thanks a lot,

Hi

Here is what I do:

1. Create my HTML source using an editor (such as notepad)
2. Save it to disk
3. Create an HTML-format email
4. Insert/File/ and select the file to insert in the browse dialog.
5. Click on the dropdown list beside the Insert button and select "Insert as Text"

This should insert your HTML code into the current message at the cursor position.

Maybe not the best way to do it, but it's the only one I know.

Sorry, I forgot to ask.

If I want to add images into my html formatted email, do I need to be hosting them on a server and use absolute addressing?

Or is there a way to add the images as attachments and reference them that way?

Thanks a lot,

Hi, GoldenEye4Ever

Now you are really getting into HTML territory beyojd my ability, and is in fact really a HTML question.

Check out thread215-1245511 and that forum in general. It would appear what you want to do is indeed possible. I have always just hosted the images, but I am working on a website anyway.
