Hello,
I just want to know how to select texts that aren't next to each other in Indesign CS2? In MS Word if I want to select any additional items, I select them while I continuing hold CTRL key but in Indesign this feature is unavailable. Could someone please, help me.

When I try with the shift key I can only select text from the beginning to the end of selection but I want to select few parts in a different places of same text frame or page.

I think your SOL.. Quark has an xtension which lets you do discontiguous selections but thats not much help to you.

Not sure if there is such a thing for InDesign?

Maybe what your trying to do could be solved with styles?

Knowing what your trying to achieve with your multiple selections might help in giving you an alternative solution.

Cheers,

Note also that multiple text selections is NOT a standard Winows feature (and probably not a standard Macintosh feature either) and is only added by particular applications. You should not count on it being available.

I am preparing a newsletter from typed word documents so I would like to change text styles of paragraphs that aren't next to each other in a same time. I can do this in Word just by holding ctrl key on my keyboard.
It is really strange that I could do this in a simple Word but not in InDesign also. So, I would really like to know is this feature possible in Indesign or not?
