I have a BCM50 with software showing as 4.0. I have a M7310 phone and I want to know how to program a single-button so that when person A is using their phone, person B can see that person A is on the phone.

I know that this is already set for the reception desk and certain other people's phones are set this way already (eg. secretary A can see when her boss's phone is in use) so I know the system is capable.

The phone system was in place before I starting working for this office and I'm fairly noob concerning this phone system. I do know how to program a feature into a phone button but I'm not sure what feature I'm supposed to be looking for. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

At the phone doing the monitoring:
Feature *2
Press the button you want to program
Enter the extension of the phone you want to monitor.
It also acts as an autodial.

thank you dibthree !!
I didn't realize that programming autodial on those buttons would cause it to act that way. What a simple solution.

on a follow up question, as I mentioned in the original post, there are some phones setup so that they can see incoming calls for another phone. I did a button inquiry on such a phone and found that the display showed a 3 digit number followed by a 7 digit number (which is the phone number of the other phone) on the second line the display buttons offer SHOW and OK see below for a "sketch"

The first 3 digits don't seem to correspond to anything I can find.
If I press the option to SHOW it responds with "Not redirected" and if I press that single-memory button when not doing a button inquiry, it responds with a tone and the display shows "Incoming only"

I can't really understand what the purpose of this button is. When the other phone is ringing, an arrow flashes beside this button. Can you tell me what feature is programmed into this button and what is it supposed to be for?
