Hi All!

How does one suppress markups and other changes in a Word document upon saving, so that a recipient of that document cannot "reveal" those tracked changes?

Example:
User A makes changes to Document1.
Those changes are tracked by Word
(additions/deletions/formatting, etc).
User A saves Document1 and emails it to User B.
User B opens it, and can (by choosing "Show Markups") see those revisions.
User A wants to be able to send out Document1 without User B ever being able to see/reveal the revisions.

Thanks in advance!

you should "accept all changes" before sending the document by email.

If you wish to keep a copy of the changes for yourself then save the document with a new name AFTER accepting the changes.

If you are using Outlook as the mail client, open Outlook and go to Tools, Options, Preference tab, Email Options and then Advanced Email Options buttons and clear the checkbox at the bottom against 'Add properties to attachments to enable reply with changes'.
