Dears,

Hi,
I ran a clean installation of Openscape 4000 V7 R2.23.3 with no patches, and inserted following commands:

exec-dimsu;

EXEC-USSU:MODE=CONFAP,LTU=17;

and on NCUI4 card I installed the Load ware (got from the comwin file transfer of same installation) and inserted following commands:

get write access
set ip address ip_addr_eth 192.168.170.17
set ip address netmask_eth 255.255.255.0

set id vlan_tag 0
set id vlan_id 0
set id eth_link_mode 0
finish
reset

all commands inserted with OK response.
but the NCUI4 card doesn't make the connection to server.
what should I do to make the connection?

Hi,
I presume you have added ANUM
(ADD-ANUM:SYSNO / ADD-ANSU ) ?

Processor(s) showing A or A&S ?

No it's not anum/ansu, they wouldn't effect the shelf going live or not.

Is that the exact config that was entered? Where is the UCSU for shelf 17?

Dears Thank you for responses,

I entered following anum/ansu:
ADD-ANSU:SYSNO,"L31911Q0885A00001";
ADD-ANUM:SYSNO,A1,"L31911Q0885A00001";

the possessor CCA is showing A and is a simulation of a real project in lab and also the dis-codew; out put is OK and showing proper licenses:

the remote shelf 17 is places in the same place and is connected to the same switch (the switch cisco 2960POE has factory default configuration and no vlan is configured).
there is no other special configuration I entered in the server.

OK - so far so good.

As Moriendi said - Do you have Shelf 17 Added and activated

Your UCSU IP for LSRT is 192.168.170.217

The IP you put in the NCUI4 is 192.168.170.17

They should be the same. If you think that doesn't make sense, it's because it's APDL config not APNW.

Maybe something else is wrong also but start there.

Thank you Dear Moriendi :
I made the change:

ip_addr_eth is * 192.168.170.217

and reset the NCUI4 card but there is no connection also I found that the NCUI4 pings assistant (192.168.170.214) and pings all devices in the IP range but cannot ping CCA IPDA (192.168.170.231) but on my laptop I have following results:

as far as I know both assistant and CCA IPDA are behind a virtual NAT of linux1 and assistant is reachable by NCUI4 but CCA IPDA is not reachable on the same way.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in here but
If it was me I would make the HiPath, the Shelf and the Laptop on a 'stand alone network'
That is set them up 'back to back' to get them working first.

Configure a span port - monitor session - on the 2960 to mirror the IPDA port.
Run wireshark for a minute, and make a exe-ussu:delap, dea-ussu and act-ussu, exec-ussu:confap on the shelf.

You should see the CCA address trying to reach the IPDA on port 4000. If you don't, that's the problem. If you do, does IPDA reply?

Dear SBCSU,

the network is isolated and no other device is connected to this network.

Dear Moriendi,

As I saw ip_addr_signalling (192.168.171.217) is looking for UCSU-LSRTADDR (192.168.170.217).
125 40.001315 UnifyAnd_88:85:9f Broadcast ARP 60 Who has 192.168.171.217? Tell 192.168.170.217
but this response is returned back:
126 40.001316 UnifyAnd_88:85:9f Broadcast ARP 60 Gratuitous ARP for 192.168.170.217 (Request)

I also uploaded the required files to the following link:

best regards
Thank you so much for the help

I don't know why this isn't working. There is no reply to the arp for NCUI eth0. Did you check in OS4K arp cache if the address is in there?

There is no traffic from CCA in either pcap.

I would make a factory reset of the NCUI card and configure it again. Use the Comwin IPDA CBL to make sure config is entered correctly. When finished, type "reset" in the NCUI console. Start wireshark on a monitor session for the IPDA. Give the 4K a soft restart. Run dea-ussu:1,17; exec-ussu:delap,17; exec-ussu:confap,17; act-ussu:ltg,1,17;

If that doesn't work, please post the pcap again. Also post the console messages from the NCUI trying to boot.

In your ADD-SIPCO there is CCA as 192.168.170.58
you also include a CCB as 192.168.170.231

Yet in the NCUI setup there is
set ip address ip_addr_CC_A 192.168.170.231 which does not correspond with the CCA in SIPCO
and it seems to be a duplex with CCA and CCB configured in SIPCO
yet there is no CCB mentioned in the NCUI setup.

I would log on to the NCUI and change the CC_A to be 192.168.170.58

I think you've opened that add-sipco line in Comedit set to the wrong APS version. I know that, because I did the same thing.

Check the dis-sipco, it's OK.

DEFRT ( ADDRESS OF THE DEFAULT ROUTER ) : 192.168.170.58
CCAADDR ( ADDRESS OF THE CC-A PROCESSOR ) : 192.168.170.231
CCBADDR ( ADDRESS OF THE CC-B PROCESSOR ) : N/A

Yes that seems to be the case - I did the same...

hi try this below commands

ADD-CONSY:"P904",CAB,"AP37009 ";
ADD-CONSY:"P904",FRAME,1,"AP37009 ",17,;
ad-sipco (CCA and CCB)
ad-bcsu
ADD-UCSU:
ad-aprt(NCUI IP address)configure AP 17 and so on
exec-ussu (activatre cabinet)
ADD-APESU:(add AP 17 for ap emergency)
than lastly
exec-ussu

Tank you Dear SBCSU and
Dear GKREG and
Dear Moriendi

I got the answer and the shelf is up and every thing is normal.

the last step there was a problem with my coligue he changed some config on the NCUI4 Card with out anoncing me...

best regards.
