I had 2 NIC cards on my Windows 2000 server with IP's
122.1.1.160
and 122.1.1.164

My Client and server are on 2 different HUB's.

One HUB (HUB-1) is connected to my WINDOWS-2000 server
with IP 122.1.1.160 to which all clients are connected.

Second HUB (HUB-2) is connected to servers (UNIX) with my WINDOWS -2000 servers IP=122.1.1.164.

My NIC-1 (IP=122.1.1.160) is the default gateway for the clients with IP(122.1.1.80).

My NIC-2 (IP=122.1.1.164) is connecting to servers with IP's (122.1.1.100).

Now when the client gives PING command to UNIX server (122.1.1.100), it gives the message "Request Timeout".

I want to allow some of the clients to pass through the Windows-2000 server to the UNIX servers and some of the clients should be banned.

Can some one tells the steps to be followed to solve the issue

Thanks in advance

Hi Dana

I had Installed RRAS and also enabled IP Forwarding in the registry.

But Still My clients are not able to come from one network to other network through windows-2000 server
i.e.

My client (IP=122.1.1.80) is able to come to IP 122.1.1.160.
But My client is not able to Ping IP 122.1.1.164 i.e. the
second IP on the windows 2000 server.

Also the Client is not able to ping to 122.1.1.100
from 122.1.1.80 i.e. the route

122.1.1.80 --> 122.1.1.160 --> 122.1.1.164 -->122.1.1.100

is not working.

If some body can help me, I would be greatefull.

Thans in advance
