How to retrieve smart-icons when they all are hidden.

I have hidden all my smart-icons but do not know how to retrieve them.
when I click on view-show smart icons I can not see them.
what has to be done.

I use a german version 9 of millenium - it may be that in english the descriptions are
others than I wrote above (I translated them myself into english) - I am talking of the
third column in the menu list - (it starts with File...., then "to work on" and then
that column which I call "view" and then vertical "to hid/show smart icons"
