Have a ghost image of previous hard disk that I want to restore to the new HD I have just put in the Call Pilot card.

Have used the Call Pilot recovery image CD from (201i IPE), to get the call pilot re-installed, I was hoping to copy database files across the backup image to the new HD. If anyone has any information I would be very greatful. Beer tokens in offer for resolution.

might get a better reply from a server forum, the only way i've done that is do the install run the config wizard and restore from the latest backup.. the re-image should do the same thing, and faster.. is you image disk bootable? it usually is, boot from that and follow the prompts

John,

thanks for reply, Have loaded the os and apps form the image disk that Nortel supply, but as backup all I have is a ghost image of the corrupted HD. I do have both partitions, so I really need to know which files are needed to restore the previous configuration.

unless you have a backup of your db, you're not going to be able to restore the data. an image of the HD is not a valid backup...an Image is only a valid tool, if you can restore the "whole" image.

Why not use the Ghost inage to reimage the new hard drive and that will put callpilot back to where it was when you made the image, OS and vmails.
