How to reset the password in the Nortel VM Manager 1

I am supporting the phone systems and when I user feature 983 and put in the password, it tells me that it is invalid. How can I reset that password?

Use F985, 9, pswd.

That password is listed in the setup guide.

if you don't have any documentation at all, I would suggest looking at textfiles.com in the nortel section, otherwise doing a google search as I have to imagine there are manuals floating out there on different web sites like wedophones.com

How do I find out what the password is on the phone system for Feature 983, 1020000 dos not work

there is no way to find the password
all you can do is reset it

press the f985 then 9 then the password (which is in the manual) this reset the 102 password back to default

Again, we understand the situation. We can't post passwords here. The f985, 9, pswd will reset it for you and get you back in. Google a manual for Norstar VM flash, and look up that password.

We're not trying to give you the run a round.
