How to reset the meridian mail terminal in option81? 1

My meridian mail terminal is not responding. I try power off the terminal and then turn back on but I don't get the Meridian Main Menu anymore. Is there a way to reset the terminal connection?

Do you have an A/B switch set up so you can use the same connection with a modem? If so flip to the other side and test. If not you might want to try going into the terminal admin and restore defaults, hopefully the right settings were stored in there.

you can not reset that without booting the mermail.. that's the good news, the bad news is they don't always boot

I have A/B switch but neither one work If I dial in the modem answer then I get the black screen.

I had a few modems that would do that, but it shifted the soft keys, I think I would have to hit F6 put in the pwd & enter, then the screen would paint.

Try doing a "control R" to see if it refreshes the screen
