"Restart the Telephone
Use the following procedure to restart the telephone.
1. For all telephones except the 9610, invoke RESTART by pressing the Mute button."

This doesn't work for me. My phone system is a Communications Manager. I have analog, digital, and IP phones. Should those directions work for me or is this intended for IP Office systems?

What I'm trying to do is take the phone back to "zero", remove all the settings like ip addresses and such.

You are aware that you are expected to actually type in the word with the keypad? If you want to clear settings, RESET would be better as well.

MUTE - 73738 #

first - <mute>craft# (=<mute>27238#)
then choose the action you want to perform.

If this doesn't work, powercycle the phone and interrupt the bootprocess by typing * a couple of times.

Not use though is you can type craft# directly at the prompt or have to type # a couple of times until the display says 'enter cmd' and then enter craft# (ro reset#)

BTW - CLEAR worked better for me than RESET....
