I want to rename my e: drive for the letter z:. I know I can use Disk Manager Console Snap-in but I would like to do it from the command line because I have to perform this task on about 400 computers...

Anybody have an idea?

Thanks for your help!

I forgot to tell you that I'm using Windows 2000 Pro.

No but if it's a solution to my problem I could run them... How would you do that (renaming a drive with group policy)?

If you have 400 machines, group policies are a must. If you implement them, you'll find control so much easier.

Not in the office at the mo, so can't check how to change drive letters at mo.

I made a small research this week-end and I found diskpart.exe ( windows 2000 ressource kit ) a command line utility that does the exact same thing as the Disk Management Console. So my problem is solve! Thank you for your help...
