Hi,

I'd like to remove the message:

"Oracle HTTP Server Powered by Apache/1.3.19 Server at Port 80" when indexing a directory or when a error occurs.

Thanks

Tom

In Apache 1.3.22, the path on my machine where that info is held is here:

/src/modules/standard/mod_autoindex.c

In 1.3.19, it is alsomost likely still within the mod_autoindex.c file, you may just have a different path to it..

There's bits of HTML code in there that you should be able to alter to fit your needs for the footer, header and directory listing style..

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but hope it helps..

Hi
Isearched the whole of the filesystem and I don't have the src/modules folder and I didn't find mod_autoindex.c I only found the following files with that name:

mod_autoindex.so
mod_autoindex.html

Any other ideas?

The only thing I could think of is search within files for the string &quot;Server at&quot; or &quot;<H1>Index of</H1>&quot; the latter of which is in the header and hope you find the file that it's in by that means (or search for anything else in the source of a directory listing page)..

On a Win32 Apache installation, they are both in the same file (mod_autoindex.c).. I did forget to mention in my last post that once you make the change and re-start Apache, it will not show unless you've recompiled Apache first..

On my system (Win98 / Apache 1.3.22), after you recompile Apache, the directory header/footer/etc info is stored in a dat file called: ApacheCore.dll

A suggestion for help may be the &quot;alt.apache.configuration&quot; newsgroup if you have usenet access..

Sorry I couldn't help you more..
