How to remove potential virii?

I downloaded an application from Kazaa - since launching the application; my Office XP has behave wierdly.

When I use Word or the Outlook editor - "draw boxes" launch randomly without prompting. Also when I start typing the cursor occationally types words/letters without an input from me - i.e. when it is left idle; it will write short sentences by itself.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Download Norton or McAfee (NOT FROM KAZAA) and scan your PC. CJ

Thank you for your reply.

I scanned with Norton and AVG - the scans came up negative.

But the virus-type symptoms still persists.

All suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would do a file and data backup, and then completely remove and reinstall your Microsoft Office Suite or restore from a previous backup if you have one.

If you still have problems, the fastest way to make sure you are virus free is to wipe the drive and start over again.
