Every time i start my computer i have to go throught this screen:

----------------------------------------------
Please select the operating system to start

Microsoft Windows 2000 Profesional

Windows 2000(default)

Use arrow key up or down to move the highlight to your choice.
Press Enter to choose
----------------------------------------------
How can i remove this screen and by default i go straight to MS Windows 2000 Profesional.

Appreciate very much i some can advice me on this problem.

Edit the boot.ini file in root of C: (change its attributes first - run attrib -r -s -h boot.ini from C:\>) - just remove the second entry. Should look like this when you're done:-

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect

(assuming 2k on 1st partition of first drive - or only partition of only drive).

You can also set the timeout to 0 and it will boot without the prompt directly into the default OS.

Right click on My Computer, click on properties, click on advanced, click on start up and recovery, on system startup set W2K Profesional as default. You can set the time to whatever you want. I have mine set at 3 seconds which will allow you to get to the other system if the need arises.
