How to remove a link from a palette?

Hi, my question is how do you remove a link from the link palette if a certain link is not linked anymore and I erased it or deleted it. I see the name of the link and ? next to it but cannot remove it from my link palette.

If you have to remove the image from the file. Deleting it from your hard drive won't remove the image from the InDesign document.

When you see a ? in a red circle on the links panel that means that InDesign can no longer find the file.

If you want to remove it from the links panel then select the image in InDesign and press Delete.
