hello all

As a daily practice, I check the veritas netbackup reports to see whether the backups had been processed smoothly. Today, after making note that everything was fine, I closed the veritas netbackup 4.5 administrative console.

Unfortunately after closing the adm. console, I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Dlt to lock the screen, ( I work with windows server 95% of the time, and I always lock my machine to prevent opportunistic breaches.) I noticed that the file jnbSA(for the adm media manager, not just for backup, restore) was deleted, I know that when people use rm commands, unless they have a backup, it is rarely possible to recover the file.

Is there any way to recover the file, I would like to have adm. console GUI. Or do you think it is a good time to get used to running commands from the prompt?

Is there an option that can fix any installation from the netbackup cd? or is there any place from where I can just copy the file and paste it in the same directory

regards

hi
actually it was not such a big deal, I had only deleted the link, the original file was in /usr/openv/volmgr/bin

I just made a copy of the original and placed it in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin using the copy command
