Hi everyone,

We have had an Electra Elite IPK phone system for a while now, but anyone who was involved in the initial configuration is long gone.

After a recent move, we want to re-record the message that lets a caller know what our address is.

Presently, if you call our number you get an automated message (either the daytime or evening message, depending on when you call). I know how to record these messages. I just have to log into the voicemail as the admin extension (in our case, extension 105), then go into MGR --> GREET in the phone menus. These are not the messages I want to record, since they are fine and don't contain our old address.

In the daytime greeting message, the voice says "press 1 for our address and contact information". After pressing 1, it plays back another voice message that I can't seem to find anywhere.

Can anyone help me find and re-record this message? According to the System Configuration in the NEC SAT utility, we have a "VMS(2/4)-U10" board in the system.

Thanks in advance!

Ryan

You will need to locate a program called Insync cosession remote software made by Artisoft. It alows you to make a serial connection to remote into the voice mail. Then you can see what the "1" sends the call to and make adjustments.

It is probably a transaction box. From the "owner"s mailbox hit LVMSG and dial in the box number (we use 500s but your installer may be different). If you found the right box it will play the old message then ask if you want to change it.

Thanks guys, I think this will point me in the right direction.
