Hi, all!

We unmount HDD with MD110 backup from HDU7 board, connect the HDD to PC ATA-bus. Windows detected the HDD but not its file system (MD110 backup), read that the HDD is unformatted.

May be we should use Linux? Or another way to read/write the HDD.

Thanks.

no way,

MD110 uses Minix filesystem, good luck with that.

May I ask what you are trying to do??

Thanks for yor answer!

whosrdaddy, you will be to laugh but we trying to copy backup to "external media", for example, to diskette, disc etc because we now have not driver for SCSI-card. We have old Ericsson PC, SCSI-card in it, SCSI cable for IPU but not the driver for this card... so, MDDT doesn't work.

For safety backup purpose, you can use SAM toolbox or any FTP tool to get the REL dir from the HDU and put it on a windows box.

Yes, FTP is a good solution but with NIU (Ethernet port)? And we have IPU (no eth ports), BC9 CNI76.

you said you had ATA HDD , IPU = SCSI,n so I assumed you had NIU2, sorry for that.

there are some optical drives (I use iomega) that you can connect to the IPU/NIU1 SCSI port and do a safety backup via FISBI command.
