HI everyone,
I was wondering, how do i run a job to see what store in the media? I have try running a catalog after running a inventory of the media. Whenver, I try running catalog tape of the current tape, it kept ask for another tape? I repsonded with "cancel", "no", but to success.

SO if there has any link, or info how i can see what in these old tape that was backup a year, i would greatly appreciated it.

It sounds like the tape was spanned during a backup. This could be tape 1 or tape 2 and so on.

Hmm well, this is only 1 tape, and i would like to see what currently in that tape. Hmmm

If you load the tape and then do an 'inventory' on it do you get a valid tape label? If you do, and you have already tried catalog on it before, go to the media tab and see if the tape label is listed. If it is, go to 'restore selections' and search through it looking for the tape label. This would be easier if the tape has some form of external label indicating what it is a backup of and when taken. If you find it, expand it to see what is on it.

Smile anyway,
Perry.
