Thanks

Hey EG,

what EDI/mapping product do you have?
We have Gentran NT. It has a component called
Application Integrator - where you can create, edit
and compile your maps (files with .map extention)

Hope this helps

hi svg,
We are using sybase ECMAP to generate .map files.Afteer we generate the .map file , if we open with notepad , I would like to read into the information in the .map file.

thanks

I wonder what would be purpose of you doing this?
Rather open it in the native map editor. Also, I infer from your other posts, you need to look at the implementation guide and not the map itself.

Go to wpc-edi.com to help your selves with IGs.

Good luck.

I haven't come across any documentation as to how to read these files.
When the file is generated thru EC-Map all of the information that is in the access databases is compiled into the .map file.
What are you trying to find in this file?
