how to read man pages uder the /usr/local/man 2

Hi,

How to read the man pages, which will be in under /usr/local/man
ex for top /usr/local/man/top.1

You need to add /usr/local/man to your MANPATH variable, ie:

export MANPATH=$MANPATH:/usr/local/man

HTH.
 
You could also do a catman -w to rebuild the windex database inclusive of the new entries.

Thanks for your reply.
I was already added with MANPATH, now i tryed with mancat also. Still i am not able to open it.
my top man page is in /usr/local/man/man1/top.1

man -M/usr/local/man top -----------
when they don't ask you anymore, where they are come from, and they don't tell you anymore, where they go ... you'r getting older !
