I get a blue screen for a split second and am trying to freeze the page to read error message. I try the pause/break key but the page goes by so fast that I can not freeze it. The reson I want to read the error page is I have a problem when start win xp pro my computer go in a loop and keeps restarting.

if you right click on "my computer" and somewhere there (under a tab) is a button saying something like "error handling"

Click this and there is an option something like "reboot on error" uncheck this and then the blue screen will stay so you can see it.

There are 2 types of computer, the prototype and the obsolete!!

I get this same problem, I can't click anything in windows, because, as gkrassma says, the computer goes in a loop and keeps restarting. All I get is Windows XP splash screen, a quick flash of blue screen with some text on it and then it reboots.

You might be able to fix these (unknown as yet) problems by entering Safe Mode (usually F8) and selecting "Last Known Good Configuration" option.

If the disabling of Automatic Restart is not available to you because you can't get into XP, and you can't enter XP via Safe Mode, your options become limited.

You could try using Recovery Console.

An easy to follow recovery console description when unable to start computer due to corrupt registry.

Click on Tutorial then the Charlie White article on XP crash.

If still no luck.

You could try repairing windows itself by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.
