Here is what I've done to begin pushing SP2. Please make comments on these steps. After we've worked out the details I'll post on the FAQ to help future SMSers out.
1) Expand the SP2 exe into your distribution share. You can use WinRAR to do this.
2) To customize the default firewall settings, modify netfw.in_ in both the i386\ic and i386\ip folders created by the expansion. I'm not sure which one is the right one, so to be safe modify both. WFINF_GUIDE is a good resource for modifying the netfw. It can be found in this package,
3) Download the package definition file here,
4) Using the definition, create a package in SMS, point it to your expanded SP2 folder, and you're done.
Apparently modifying the netfw.inf doesn't work post install. At least I can't get it to work. However, it is nice for pre-installs.
