Hi,

We've two separarte networks connected by a multihomed NT server acting as a router. One network has the mail server, and the users on the other network need to recieve mail via the router. The mail server connects to the ISP via dial-up. The dial-up configuration overrides the LAN configuration and the mail server doesn't respond to clients on the far side of the router.

Now, without changing configuration of the mail server, is there a way we can recieve mails on the other side of the router? I mean can we do something on the router, like some proxy software or some protocol translation, by which we can get the mail across the router?

Any ideas, links or tricks are welcome.

TIA

You could multihome the Mailserver so it has a card on both network segments.
