How to program lines on a T7406?

I have a customer with a T7406, at some point it had all 4 lines programmed on it but for some reason (probably a power outage) it was only accessing lines 1 and 2.

I set lines 3 and 4 to appear and ring on it but it only shows the first three. I did notice that the three soft keys on the left show up in programming as keys 1-3 and the 3 on the right are showing up as keys 7-9, emulating a 7310.

The customer states they had access to all 4 lines at some point and the top right soft button IS labeled line 4.

How do I program line for to appear and ring on the T7406?

the same way as any other phone. The problem with the 4th line is, 7406's are a 3 line phone. you can use the pool and ring only, but only 3 lines can appear and ring on a 7406

Go to User Preferences and make sure it is set for Model 7310 set.I was told you could put more than 3 lines on it as long as it was set to a model 7310.

If I recall the manual states 3 lines only how ever....I think I posted something like this way in the past.

Try removing line 4, then go back in and program any 3 lines not in use to the cordless, this will tie up keys 4 and 5 and 6, then program line 4 so it will show up on key 7 (your top right hand key like you want it).
I also program a standard handsfree key (regardless of what manual states so it shows up on key 10-the other one you dont see on the codless so that Intrcom #1 will show up on key 9, Intercom 32 on key 8 (if required).

ie (in case I confused you.
Bold represents keys on the cordless.
Key 1 -Line 1......Key 6 -Line 7
Key 2 -Line 2......Key 7 -Line 4
Key 3 -Line 3......Key 8 -Page
Key 4 -Line 5......Key 9-Intercom
Key 5 -Line 6......Key 10-HandsFree

A T7406 will be seen as an M7310 by the switch. The buttons go in the order you stated, the buttons on the left are 1-3 and the buttons on the right are 7-9. I think you could move your line 4 button using feature *81 to button number 7. Make sure there's nothing programmed on button number 7 before you try this. It should work. Good luck.

I think you need to plug in a 7310/7316 telephone set on the port first and move line 4 via feature*81 to key 7 or 8(if 8 is available) then plug the 7406 back in, the change should stay.

This worked...

Removed line 3, added line 4 which showed up under key 3.
Moved line 4 to key 7
then added line 3 back
