I am fairly new to the CM. I have been working on Nortels for years and years. We are slowly switching users off the CS100 to the CM. I cannot figure out how to program an Autodial key on the CM. on the nortel it was "key 03 adl" On-hook the user could push that button, enter the number they wanted stored, and push it again=stored number. Then they could go off-hook push key 3, and it would dial that stored number. What is the equivalent CM button assignment?

you would use button 'autodial' and enter the number in the field next to it.

First program the autodial button for the user. The user can do the rest.

Dial FAC
Press SD button
Dial digits.
Press SD button
Hear confirmation tone. Hang up.

or instead of the FAC put the abr-prog button on the users phone. Same thing

ok I see now. the first screen is only displaying call-appr. had to scroll right to see the changes of autodial(SD) and abr-prog. how hard is it to have the first 8 buttons that are programmed, display on the main screen of the phone? right now the button go all the way across. it does not make since to me to have to scroll over to use autodial keys. seems like a waste of those buttons on the left side.

In the 46xx.settings file I believe the setting you want to tinker with is fboncascreen.

I do all of my programming through the Aura System Manager web page. Can the 46xx file be modified using it?

when you deploy new phones, upon bootup they need to get firmware/configuration. Typically from a webserver or utility server. If you're not sure reboot a phone and watch the screen, as it will display the path. Or if using DHCP you can see in the dhcp options.

If 9611 phones, press home, Options & Settings, Screen & Sound Options, Phone Screen Width set to Half.

You will see all eight on the main screen.
