Hey guys,

I've searched all over and can't seem to find my answer. I've developed a report using Crystal 2008 and would like to embed something (formula, parameter, whatever) to force the report to print 2 copies. This is for a client, so I can't set the default printer (since I don't have access to their network printer). Is there something I can do in the report that will allow me to do this?

Much thanks in advance!

There may be a third party solution. I do not know the setup of your report. Is it possible to make a copy of the report and put it in the report footer (i.e., basically would have have two copies of the report in one). Thus when you print it, there would be two copies of the report.

Lots of luck.

create an imaginary printer on your system(a make/model of printer that you are almost certain will never be in production where the report is run)
set the # of copies in the imaginary printer to 2 in crystal, but do not print.
save the report.
when they run the report it should print to their default printer and still print 2 copies.

That sounds good and I'll give it a shot; but here's a small caveat.

If the paytype is "Cash", they want 2 copies; otherwise they want 1. So how would I accomplish that? I should have mentioned that earlier.

Thanks for the feedback!

i might be simpler to create the report again within itself, then suppress the 2nd copy if the type is not 'cash'
