How to print a grid?

Can anyone explain me how to print a grid . As i have not found a way to print it.

You can't print a grid.

But you can print the data in the underlying table.

To do so, create a report in the Report Designer, using the table as your data source.

Yes, you can use a cursor as the data source for a report, in exactly the same way as a table.

As Mike says there's no native way to print a grid..... but here's a routine that may help; it modifies a template frx to match the controlsource, width and position of each column in a grid. Limited to 9 columns.

use it like this

=autoreport(thisform.mygrid,"my title")

sorry... i haven't tested since i just lifted it out of its usual environment (it makes a lot of assumptions) but it should get you started.

Someone else (Doug Hennig perhaps?) once did an object orientated report generator that might also prove useful (especially if you need more than 9 columns).
