Hello,

Does anyone know how can I prevent a user from accessing Windows directory when they type "c: " in the browser address bar? Specifically on IE 7 browser.

Thanks in advance.

Can you explain why you are trying to do this?

Are you trying to disable access to C: or to the filesystem from the browser?

Cheers,
Dian

Assuming you mean Windows Explorer, not IE, you cannot disallow a user from accessing the windows directory - Windows won't run unless the user can access it. However, you can make the specific user a guest, which will higly limit access.
