Hi, I have a Cisco Callmanader 4.1 and IPCC enterprise 6.0. I have 800 numbers in USA and receive them throgh internet in Mexico. I use to receive the caler ID but now I do not receive it. The Telephone provider asked me to send them packet capture traces for incoming calls, so we review the traces. We use a Softphone IP Communicator 2.0.1.1 in every computer. Could anybody help me with the instructions to capture packets please. Thanks in advance.

Download WireShark (free) and install it on one of your PC's. Then open it, fire up a Capture session and then make an incoming call to that PC's IP Communicator.

CM 4.2 and IPCC 6.0?? Is this correct?

Thats odd we were told that Cisco 4.2 won't support v 5.0 IPCC!

We had to stay on v4 and wait till we go v6.1 on cm to support v5/6/7 IPCC.

Thanks,
And Yes we have CM 4.1 and IPCC 6.0 in a mexican callcenter

greetings!

One thing that comes to mind is that you should not have to do packet captures just to see if you get caller ID.

One thing you can do is actually look at the voice gateway that have the voice E1s. Do a "debug isdn q931" or "debug voice ccapi inout". Watch as the phone call comes in.

If it is coming with the call at that time, you can concentrate the CCM and IPCC side with TAC. Look at the CCM traces logs as needed.

If it is not coming in at the VG and their is no ANI at all with the debugs, then your issue is with telco.
