how to open up FTP for web master access to website files?

hello everyone

we have iis running on a win2003 enterprise box. we used to have a webmaster and changes were done via direct access to the web server. now there's an external company that's going to do some changes on one of the websites and I need help on how to make it accessible via ftp. Can someone point me in the right direction?

ok so i followed this simple guide:

http://www.hosting.com/support/dedicated/iis/iisftp

I created a user and all, heck I can even use my own domain account.

We have various sites, how would someone access from the outside? would it be by IP or can it by the name of the website?

ie:
ftp:\\websitename.com
or
ftp:\\outsideIPaddress
???
I tried both and I get a Windows cannot access this folder error message.

I know this is probably super simple but never had to mess with server ftp.

now that I think about it....I will need to also open up port 21 on the cisco firewall. crud
