I have a report with master-detail data. Master data is in BEFORE slot of GROUP section, followed by SEQ section inside of CONTENT slot, which has 2 detail sub-reports. I am asked not to split the group, ie if entire master-detail set is not fitting onto a page, then I must start it on next page. I cannot figure out how to detect a split at GROUP level. I cannot put breaks between master-detail sets, since data is not that large as to call for a pagebreak between sets of data and we want to conserve space.

As far as can be determined, there is no way of automatically forcing a page break to keep Group Header an Data together. The only way, providing the Group/Data sections are always going to be the same height, is to make the flow height such that there is a fixed number of sections per page.

I always have to play with the Property Pagination to play with the page breaks. If you click on your Before Frame and look at the Pagination property play with 'No Split Bottom' and 'No Split Top' settings. This will give you some control over the splitting of your group data.
