Hie to you all?

I would like to know how I can name a 3300 for identity .For example to name a 3300 the name HUNTER such that when I browse it by 192.168.1.2 it show me that Im connected to HUNTER?

You can name the controller in the 'Network Elements' form. This only allows 9 characters and no spaces or special characters. HUNTER would be ok though.

The 'Network Elements' form names the ICP yes but the name is not presented when you are logged on. the ICP IP address shows instead. Which tells me that the name assigned under 'Network Elements' form is cosmetic. I have also used the System IP Properties - Host Name, and I dont achieve what I want as well.
Maybe you need to explain further.

Network elements Name is used by the systems to talk to each other. The name should alsways start with a Capital letter with all other letters being lower case. HUNTER is wrong, Hunter is by design.

The host name in the IP config form sounds like what you are looking for but it doesn't stop there, you must also define the Domain in the same form.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Have you logged out and back in. When I change the name on the Network Elements form I get that name appear in the top left.
