How-to monitor VI3 infrastruture ang guests

I am trying to find information on how to monitor VI3 infrastructure and guests.

I need to define monitoring and reporting for both daily management of VI3 and for problem solving.
I also need to define monitoring for capacity management.

Our central focalpoint is in HP/OpenView.

Can anyone help me with some good links?

What I want is a little difficult for me to define at the moment because central monitoring and reporting is a little new for me.

And the customers we run VI3 infrastructure for don't have a clue what they want.
What I want to try to do is making a checklist based on what I think could be useful and posible to monitor on a VI3. And then give that list to the customers to choose from.

They always talk about performance and capacity, but it to define that to something to do real monitoring on is a little difficult. And on VI3 it is a very new situation.

I could also ask:

What would you monitor and report on your VI3 infrastructur?
