Hi,
CR has an option of opening a report from its published site..It may depend on version ( Standard, Developer, etc) and version # match with the enterprise..

When you click OPEN from CR's menu, there should be an option for opening from the Enterprise.

Another option that I've seen is to have a local .rpt file (we would check this in to source control and check it out when updates were needed...) Make your edits in Crystal and then you can "Save As" to the CMC over the existing report.

Every time you update a report this way, you will have to log in to the CMC and update the Database Configuration for the report because the update from Crystal will delete the database password. I have found a way to avoid this - when you set the Database Configuration, do NOT use the default configuration. Instead, use a specified connection. Even if it is exactly the same as the default connection, database login information will no be reset by the update from Crystal. All of your other configuration should still be there.

Hi,
Also BOE, up through XI at least, has an option in the properties tab for a published report that will allow you to determine what gets updated/removed when a report is edited and republished - you can uncheck the database password info here and it will not be deleted on republishing.

Yes, opening report from Enterprise option and using Refresh option in Properties tab i can get whatever changes i made in report and also i don't need to set all schedule report properties again.

Yes and regarding database configuration in Process tab, it resolves problem if we use custom database settings.

Thanks for your suggestions
