How to Make Word "Keep Text Only" as Default 3

I do weekly and monthly reports where I copy from emails and paste into a pre-formatted Word documents. The emails have different formats and I never use the email format. Is there a way to tell Paste that the default should "Keep Text Only" and not Keep Source Formatting.

What about just pasting in Notepad? That would make sure it is text only, and would require nothing fancy. Then, you could always save the file as a .doc file if you wanted.

Thanks to kjv611 for the suggestion, but that would add an extra step to my work.

Well, I would think you could custom program a Macro to carry that out for you, but I would think that'd be more complex than just pasting to Notepad. Of course, if you want to consider something like the programming method, so that you do some work now, and have ease of use on a regular basis, you might could try asking about that over at:

Use the simple code from the article onedtent posted.
Make it a button on a toolbar.
Copy whatever from the email.
Switch to Word.
Click the button.
